It is not quite autumn yet, thankfully. I’d like to experience a lot more spring first and then several months of summer before autumn is here! Nonetheless I have made a card in autumn colours: brown, orange and yellow. The pre-coloured image is from Lili of the Valley. Daffodils isn’t exactly a flower of autumn, but the colours suited the purpose nicely! All the flower embelishments are by Wild Orchid Cards.

Thailand and a pink and girly card

I am back home again really, and no I haven’t been gone all month! Before I show you a card I will show some photos and tell you of my trip to Thailand.
Together with a few friends (some new) we travelled all over Thailand. We started in beautiful Krabi where we spent some on a longtail boat visiting seven different small island, swimming in the sunset, snorkingling in a cave and had a bbq on the beach in the dark.

The following day we took a ferry from Krabi to Phi Phi and spent a few hours on the beach enjoying brilliant sunshine and salty water in an enchantingly beautiful lagune. It really is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Then we took the ferry from Phi Phi and spent a couple of lazy days in Phuket before we flew up to Chiang Mai.

In Chiang Mai we went to the night market, we did elephant trecking (which included bathing them, feeding them and riding them for about 45 minutes), and we visisted Tiger Kingdom where we got to be together with tigers. We also got to cuddle them, even the big ones, and watch them play around us. I will post one of the photos of me cuddling a tiger in one of the new posts! What an experience!

After Chiang Mai we flew down to Bangkok and spent the day doing some shopping before heading down to Hua Hin. We drove through some pretty nasty weather and the storm had knocked over lots of trees, knocked out the power and there was a lot of water in the streets (about 30cm or so high). Thankfully the weather cleared up just in time for the wedding so the couple did indeed get married on the beach. It was beautiful! The following the day the sun can out to play all day again and we visisted the monkeys by the temple on Monkey Mountain.

We then drove back to Bangkok where we spent another day and a half shopping and just having a good time before flying back home. Apart from the day we went to Hua Hin, the little rain we had was during the night. The rest of the time we mostly had brilliant sunshine! What a dream holiday it was!
After I got back I have been a bit unwell so I haven’t been able to really update my blog again until now. I shall keep updating it frequently again, though, from now, and I have some exiting news to share at the weekend! This week I have dug out all the crafting materials again and started on the massive task that is Christmas cards so expect a few of those over the following month!
Right, card! Today I’m showing you a card that I made a little while ago. It is a tri-fold card made with a blank from Witch Craft UK. I have used papers from Papermania, and small yellow smarties looking buttons from Craftwork Cards. The main image is a pre-coloured topper by The Hobby House, which I have edged with a Martha Stewart Puncher. The leaves are also made with a Martha Stewart puncher and the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Yellowy
Oh my! I have been very lucky to be picked for a guest designer spot over at Deep Ocean! How exciting! I can’t wait to get started on my cards for the challenges in the month I am chosen for! What a great way to start the day for sure. This coming weekend I plan to get a fair bit of crafting done as well. I suddenly feel really inspired, hehe.
Apart from that, I spent a bit of time yesterday designing a new background for my blog, a new header image and I tweaked the colours somewhat. I am much happier with how it looks now.
I had time to colour up a few images the other day, yey! Mostly Saturated Canary ones. They are so much fun to colour! This one is coloured in with copics. I have used the following shades: B0000, B0, G40, G82, E42, E44, E50, E51, E53, E57, E42, E44, R97, Y000, Y04, Y08 and Y17. The papers are from Inkido, and the pearls are from Kort og Godt. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The two ribbons are from a local shop. I have also used my new Martha Stewart edge puncher to create the somewhat fancy edges. I love it!

Bloglovin; love it! It was incredibly easy to transfer all the blogs I was following on blogger over to it and now I have all my blogs neatly arranged in categories so I can easily find blogs I am looking for as I can never remember the names of all of them when I want to look for something. The layout of it all is very good and I love how I get an extra toolbar where I can go to the next or previous new blog post. It is a shame some people require using blogger to follow to enter in things, as I reckon I won’t bother with them for much longer, but hopefully following through Bloglovin will be more popular soon. I love how I can now easily follow non-blogger blogs! Give it a try! Here is a link if you’d like to follow my blog on Bloglovin.
Anyway, I have a card today too; an easel card! The paper is from first edition paper, and the butterfly edge is made with a Tim Holtz I got for my birthday (a bit early). The lovely image is a pre-coloured one from Lili of the Valley. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon I used is from Dovecraft. The leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher and the card blank is from Craftwork Cards. All the scalloped circles are made with QuicKutz dies.

Picnic time
Bah, holiday over already. I had my flight home yesterday with my suitcase and hand luggage filled with so much crafting stuff I barely had room to bring other things I bought home, never mind the stuff I was supposed to take back, like the camera. Oh well, there is always next time haha. I’ve not even had time to unpack yet as I went straight to work from the airport and today is another long day where I won’t be home until late evening. Hopefully I can get started on some card making with my new stuff tomorrow!
Below is a card I’ve made with papers from various First Edition Paper pads. The circular die is made with spellbinders. I don’t remember what my reasonably new corner die is called so I will update the post with the name of it later. The corner dies are from Die-Namics of course, from My Favourite Things. The pre-coloured image is by Lili of the Valley and all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. As usual the leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The ribbons were in my stash, I believe the transparent yellow one once came with a bunch of flowers, heh. The brad I used on the bow is one I’ve had in my stash for a while, but I reckon it is a Papermania one.
