Baby bear

I have decided to change the look of my blog’s homepage somewhat, so I have now decided to show the whole post on the homepage. I have gone back and made this change for all cards posted this year (the three previous posts). So avoid a tiny scroll bar and a miles of page to scroll through, I have also reduced the number of posts available per page. Within a week or so I will also add a page for this year’s cards.

Today’s card has been made with papers from Pion Design, a pre-coloured die cut image as well as a sentiment stamp from Lili of the Valley, pearls and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, branches made with a Martha Stewart puncher and some Tim Holtz purple distress ink. To frame the main image I made a matching purple scalloped circle. The ribbon is from a local shop and I tied it into a bow in a new way (well new for me). I think it turned out alright.

I have also made a new watermark for my cards as I figured I was due a bit of change 🙂

Summer fairy

How exciting! I was picked as a guest designer for Whimsy Stamps challenges! The challenge is up now and the theme is lots of layers. I am so glad blog posts can be scheduled, as when this appears I’m on holiday strolling on the beach by the Mediterranean Sea. Ah, bliss!

Vintage wedding

Today’s post is another wedding card. I still have a handful more that I need to post. It’s been a long week so far and I’m glad it’s nearly weekend, although I doubt it will be any less busy than this week has been and the next will be. Hopefully I have a little more time to fit some crafting in next week though.

Wedding season

It appears to be wedding season. I have a friend getting married soon so I decided to have a play and make my first wedding cards. As I haven’t got a lot of stamps for the occasion, I decided on use vintage photos instead. A lady at work and a family friend were also interested, so this week I have made 5 different cards. This is the first of them.

Lilac birthday fairy

Yesterday I went shopping with the intention of getting just a couple of bits. You would think by now I would realise it does not quite work that way… Once again I bought much more than I need. There are so many gorgeous papers and a lot of them made their way home with me. I also got a ton of inspiration looking at some of the cards on display in the shop. It is a shame I have to work all evening, as I think I could easily sit and make cards all day today. It is so nice getting the exams finished for the summer! This post is for the first card I made after getting the craft stuff back out.
