When I coloured in the stamp I used for a card in a previous post, I coloured it in twice at the same time, using different colours. I had a random urge to use a lot of green when colouring the stamp, so I coloured n the greens and skin tones and then stopped dead, leaving it a few days before I went back to finishing the stamp off and picking a colour to go with the green…

Spring time
Both I and all my new stash safely made it back from England. After unpacking everything and carefully organising it all last night, this morning was spent making a new card. Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday here, and with limited time available this week, I had to get the card done today. Before starting, I decided to have a quick look at the latest challenge over at Lili’s Little Fairies, fully expecting to miss out on the challenge entirely as it ends tonight or tomorrow. To my surprise the challenge theme this week is Spring Colours, which would fit my mom perfectly! With that extra motivation, the card didn’t take very long to make at all.
Fairy smelling flower, and a craft show!
Two days ago I flew over to England for a long weekend. A trip perfectly timed to coincide with a crafting show, the crafting show at Bluewater in Kent! Today is the day! It started yesterday, but today suits me better, and it leaves time to go back at the weekend if I haven’t got time to see everything. I am really looking forward to seeing the talent and creations while soaking up as much inspiration as I can possibly manage! I look forward to seeing the Lili of the Valley stand specifically, as it was through their website I found out about it in the first place!
This is a good opportunity to post a card I made in the first half of January and completely forgot to post! It was a birthday card for my boss. It was the first card in a while I’d made with the fold on top, rather than on the side.
Lavender and lace
The other day I went browsing, possibly to kill time, or what’s more likely: to keep awake. I came across a blog called Lili’s Little Fairies. Wow! there are many fantastic cards there; so much talent, so much inspiration all in one spot! The challenges look like a lot of fun, and I’d have yet another excuse to use my favourite stamps. After thinking about it for a while, and making a couple of cards I was really pleased with (which I have yet to post here), I thought I will give it ago.
So here is my entry in the Lavender and Lace challenge:
Summery birthday
As much as I enjoy making Christmas cards, it was a nice break making some birthday cards in the days running up to Christmas. As the two birthday celebrants don’t know each other, I decided to go with my idea of making paired cards for this also! It really is a lot quicker to just make two similar cards than two completely different ones!
