I’ve had a good weekend making a few cards and getting a fair bit of studying done. As this week has started off with two deliveries of new stuff, one from Wild Orchid Crafts and one from Kreativ Hobby, I wish I could say the next weekend is likely to be equally creative. However, I am going away on Friday for nearly a week, so the cards I have made the past week shall be lined up to so I can easily get them posted over the next week and a half! Anyway, onto this post’s card!

Earth fairy
Mid winter, while waiting for spring to arrive, I decided to make an autumn looking card. Staring at the snow falling in various directions because of the wind, it was difficult getting into the autumny feeling. After battling myself for a while to get it done, here is the result.
Fairy smelling flower, and a craft show!
Two days ago I flew over to England for a long weekend. A trip perfectly timed to coincide with a crafting show, the crafting show at Bluewater in Kent! Today is the day! It started yesterday, but today suits me better, and it leaves time to go back at the weekend if I haven’t got time to see everything. I am really looking forward to seeing the talent and creations while soaking up as much inspiration as I can possibly manage! I look forward to seeing the Lili of the Valley stand specifically, as it was through their website I found out about it in the first place!
This is a good opportunity to post a card I made in the first half of January and completely forgot to post! It was a birthday card for my boss. It was the first card in a while I’d made with the fold on top, rather than on the side.
Lady in pink
For this card I wanted to use pinks and blacks. This was one of the very first cards I made after I got the die cutting machine for Christmas and it had to be tried out for various shapes! I also wanted to try something different and not use a stamped image for the front. It made the card quite different from anything else I had made previously.
Pirate bear
Another week, another challenge at Lili’s Little Fairies. Last week, after my first challenge entry, I had decided that I wanted to try to enter in the next one also, no matter the theme. Then on Thursday I went over and saw what this challenge was on. A masculine card! Oh boy… I was gutted. Having struggled through making 4 boy cards already this month, not only was I completely out of ideas, but there were nobody to make the card for! After lots of thinking, I finally remembered my boyfriend’s wee cousin will turn 9 in March. (Never mind my boyfriend’s birthday next month, that will have to wait as I can’t post that on here just yet, haha.) And thus the card making begun.
