One exam done and two to go; all this week. I am so looking forward to the weekend right now! Although I’ve barely done anything but study the past few weeks, another card post was well due! This card and box were the last I made before I packed it all away for the exam preparations. The card was a request from a co-worker and I suggested to make a box to go with. This is the first time I’ve attempted making a box! Let’s have a look then!

Shabby Chic
I have never tried it before, the shabby chic style, but I’ve seen so many beautiful cards with the style that I figured now was a good time to give it a go. There is nothing like a good dose of inspiration, and it is Fleur who has made me want to try this style. Her cards are absolutely gorgeous; take a look if you haven’t already! Always the same soft wonderful colours. Here is my take on a shabby chic card:
Puppies are pals for life
With such beautiful spring weather, the card creativity has been limited to bulks! When I feel creative I make a few cards and then I don’t really many anymore that week. I have to get a few made ready as I plan to move my crafty stuff out of sight for over a month shortly, to make sure my studies get at least some attention before the fast approaching exams! My boyfried’s baby cousin’s 7th birthday is coming up in less than a month, so hers was one of the cards I made yesterday.
Girly girl
Who would have thought making cards would be so much fun?! It has been a learning curve, quite a steep one. When I first starting purchasing things to make cards with in August I hadn’t really thought much about what I was getting myself into, or how much money I would spend. Now, my wallet many, many pounds lighter, I am very happy I just went with the random idea it was at the time. I am having a blast. It is great having an excuse to sit and colour in images and merely decorate cards, one by one. Of course it takes time, but it’s worth it. Today’s card is pink, purple and possibly my best one yet. Let’s take a closer look!
It’s spring!
The last few days of beautiful sunshine and agreeable temperatures have made me want to toss the warmer clothes to the back of the wardrobe. Spring is seeming right around the corner, but experience tells me it may well start snowing again next week, so I shall wait a little bit longer before getting the sandals back out. Any threats of snow will not stop me from making spring inspired cards, however! This post is for a card I just finished today.
