Lotv James in the forest snow

This is my second attempt at colouring in my own background. I stuck with various purples for my little forest scene. The adorable bear is by Lili of the Valley and I’m sure you’ve seen me use this stamps a few times in the past! It gets a bit of a different look with a drawn in background, though. I also added some snow to the ground as well as some falling snow. The brighter blue scarf and hat stands out nicely against the background.

The card itself is quite simple. I didn’t feel like it needed a lot added to it, so I simply used a stitched border die for the panel, a Norwegian Christmas sentiment in a dark purple and some semi-transparent sequins around it.

Birthday celebration

Time for a fun birthday card using a stamp by Stamping Bella. I opted for a layered card this time using Maja Design papers, my favourite lace, a bit of matching ribbon and some chipboard numbers. The edges have been painted white with acrylic paint.

Crafty Meraki Poinsettia

Wasn’t it just Tuesday? Well, it is Tuesday again and it’s time for another Crafty Meraki project. The days just seem to fly past at the moment! Today I have a simple Christmas card to share with you. Lately I’ve coloured up quite a lot of the card panel, so this time I’ve focused on just a part of it and leaving plenty of white space. I’ve used the poinsettia stamp from the Christmas Miracle stamp set twice and masked them together as well as masking them into a section of the card. The flowers were coloured in with Copic marker and I also coloured in a grey background behind them.

The sentiment is from MFT Stamp Christmas Cheer stamp set and I’ve placed three semi-transparent sequins around it. They are a bit hard to spot in photos, though. To frame it all I used red cardstock as the card base, the cardstock is also from MFT Stamps.

Copics used: T3, R22, R24, R29, E18, Y32, Y35, Y38, YR27 + white gelly roll pen.

Have a great week!

Whimsy wee kitty in flower pot

Time to break up all the Christmas posts with something non-Christmassy! I’ve used a stamp from the Wee Stamps collection at Whimsy Stamps called Sweet Kitties and made a shabby slimline card. It is a no-line version and I’ve used my Copic markers as usual.

I’ve used scraps from a few different background papers which I have torn at the top edge instead of cutting, added some lace, a doily, embossed on some frantage and glued on some sequins. The sentiment is a Norwegian text stamp (which says Happy Birthday) embossed onto dark pink cardstock and then die cut using the Quick Strips die set.

Copics used: N0, N1, N2, N3, W0, W2, YR20, YR31, YR23, YR27, E08, E70, E71, E74, RV10, RV91, RV93, RV32, RV34

Lotv Let it snow

James Bear in the snow, of Lili of the Valley, is one of my all time favourite stamps and I colour it up several times each Christmas. This time I have made a CAS card with him on the side with white on white covering the rest of the panel. The die cut is by Mama Elephant and I’ve added semi-transparent sequins and white glittery embossing powder randomly over the whole panel covering everything. Bright red card stock frames the panel and matches his outfit.
