Lavender and lace

The other day I went browsing, possibly to kill time, or what’s more likely: to keep awake. I came across a blog called Lili’s Little Fairies. Wow! there are many fantastic cards there; so much talent, so much inspiration all in one spot! The challenges look like a lot of fun, and I’d have yet another excuse to use my favourite stamps. After thinking about it for a while, and making a couple of cards I was really pleased with (which I have yet to post here), I thought I will give it ago.

Military theme

Earlier this month a mate turned the big three zero, so a card was non optional! I still haven’t got much option when it comes to stamps to use on cards for blokes, so the obvious choice was the pirate teddy bear from Lili of the Valley. It was a great challenge this card!

Mechanical Birthday

A new year, and a lot of cards to make! There are so many I want to make (and need to make soon), but first I have this website to sort out. Now that my first holiday this year is booked, the university courses are sorted and the time-table laid out I know what time I’ll have between studies and work, and I also know my deadline for the first batches of cards to bring with me on holiday. Although the year started horribly, things are starting to pick up a bit. I have made some cards already, though! Let’s have a closer look at the first one!

My cards from 2011

I have put together a page showing the off the cards I made in 2011. Ever since I was caught by the homemade cards bug in July, and made my first card in August, I have purchased a lot more materials from pens and stamps to a paper-cutter. The cards have gotten better, even if the fold has remained simple for the past few months due to lack of time to spend on fancifying that aspect of the creation. I also feel a lot more confident colouring the stamps.
